What is 10pens?

10pens is a user community dedicated to helping people improve their writing (whether it be resumes, cover letters, papers, applications, or anything else) for free. The goal of 10pens is to bring the wisdom of many people to any sort of writing tasks to produce better work for better results.

When you submit a document to 10pens, it is shown ten random free reviewers for feedback. 10pens also allows submitters to pick highly rated paid reviewers for an almost guaranteed great review.

How does one become a paid reviewer?

Become a paid reviewer involves showing off your editing skills. Paid reviewers are people who have done a good job of editing other's documents. You can become one too - do some free reviews for others and wait for feedback. Once they confirm that you did an awesome job editing their work, you can start charging!

What can I submit?

We have five categories for submissions: Resumes, Cover Letters, Papers, Application Essays, and Everything else. So, you can submit anything at all as long as it's less than 200kb and less than 10 pages.

Who will review my document?

10pens relies on crowdsourcing reviews of your documents - so anyone who wants to can review them. We will show your document to no more than 10 people though.

I'm a bit picky, can I choose who can see my document?

Sure - you can select exactly the people you want to review your document by selecting paid reviewers. If you select paid reviewers, only those people will be able to see your document.

How is my document shown?

We'll take your work, and turn it into an image. Then, we'll show this image to reviewers, who will be able to make contextual comments by dragging comment areas on top of this image. They will also be given a space for general comments.
